Privacy Policy
Livestream Downloader · Effective 2026-04-27
This Chrome extension ("the Extension") is provided by the developer behind the Telegram bot it integrates with. This policy explains what data the Extension collects, why, and how it is handled.
What we collect
- Telegram identity — when you sign in via the Telegram Login Widget, Telegram returns your public profile fields (numeric user ID, username, first name, last name, photo URL). We store these on our backend solely to route the bot's recording back to your chat and to display your account status in the popup.
- URLs you explicitly send — when you click "Send to Telegram bot", the URL of the page you are viewing is forwarded once to our backend, which relays it to your Telegram bot. The URL is used only to trigger a one-time recording and is not stored beyond what is necessary for the recording job.
- Local preferences — your session token, theme choice, and support-cache are stored only inside
chrome.storage.local on your own machine and never leave the browser.
What we DO NOT collect
- Browsing history
- Page contents, cookies, or form data of any third-party website
- Any data from tabs you did not explicitly act on
- Analytics, telemetry, fingerprints, or advertising identifiers
How data is used
User data is used solely to provide the single feature described in the Chrome Web Store listing: triggering livestream recordings on the user's own Telegram bot. We never:
- sell or transfer user data to third parties for purposes unrelated to the Extension's single purpose
- use user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending
- use user data for advertising
Third-party services
- Telegram Login Widget — used only during the one-time login flow. Subject to Telegram's own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare Workers — hosts our backend that relays URLs to your bot. Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Supabase — backing database for the bot, used to queue the URL you sent for recording. Records are kept only as long as needed to deliver the file.
Data retention & deletion
To delete your account data, click "Log out" in the extension settings and message the Telegram bot with /delete (or contact the bot owner). Local browser data is removed automatically when the extension is uninstalled.
